Anxiety
and Depression
These two
troubling mind states normally appear hand in hand like a
committed couple.
In my practice,
I look at cause: physical level causes such as diet and
lifestyle habits such as
addictions.
Anxiety plagues
us when we are stressed and stress comes when there is
emotional excitement within us which we can neither identify
or acknowledge nor express.
Then I look at emotional causes.
And so when we
don’t know how to travel through our sadness and despair, for
example, then depression
results. And if we can't find a way to experience our anger, joy and sexuality, then anxiety can take hold of us.
The human experience requires soothing. We will work together to arrive at wholesome, life-enhancing ways to achieve that.
